| 10:05 | <Tyler Morgan> | Hey y’all! It’s been a second since I’ve been on here. I have a question. <time datetime="hh:mm±hh:mm”></time> I know HTML spec says it’s more useful basing dateless time on geography rather than offset. But is this something the spec should have a stance on? From what I can find, it doesn’t necessarily say whether it’s valid or not, just omitted from the examples.https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/text-level-semantics.html#the-time-element |
| 10:16 | <annevk> | Tyler Morgan: the examples are not the normative requirements... When it says "The datetime value of a time element must match one of the following syntaxes." it's followed by a list where the links identify the valid syntax. And that's not valid. Though you could express it with two time elements at the moment. (Perhaps it's something that should be added though, but that's a different matter.) |
| 10:21 | <Tyler Morgan> | Perfect! Thank you annevk! |
| 12:30 | <smaug> | annevk: can we clear agenda+ from https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/12096 ? |
| 12:40 | <Noam Rosenthal> | Same q to Luke Warlow re https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/12063 |
| 12:43 | <Luke Warlow> | Yes, just waiting on reviews for the initial PR atm |
| 12:56 | <Noam Rosenthal> | OK we have a few issues on the agenda. hsivonen were you going to participate? I wanted to flesh out https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/11542#issuecomment-3811080310 but we can also do that here if you're around :) |
| 15:38 | <hsivonen> | Noam Rosenthal: I'll call into today's WHATNOT. |
| 15:48 | <zcorpan> | annevk: Is https://github.com/w3c/picture-in-picture/issues/162 wrong? I don't see an "on" vs "at" distinction in fire an event |
| 16:03 | <smaug> | Huh, that is so weird. |
| 16:07 | <smaug> | DOM is quite clear. |
| 16:16 | <sfarre> | I can't parse what is being said in that link. Does Chrome have some internal idea of what firing an event "at something foo, on something bar" means? |
| 17:42 | <annevk> | Yeah same. That doesn't make sense. |
| 18:06 | <Benjamin Beaudry> | Hi all, I was hoping to call out this issue today but we ran out of time: https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/11040. I’d really appreciate folks taking a look and sharing any thoughts. I’m hoping to discuss it in next week’s meeting. |
