The wording for the update href algorithm https://html.spec.whatwg.org/#api-for-a-and-area-elements:update-href seems a bit odd (I'll abbreviate HTMLAnchorElement and HTMLAreaElement as X and Y respectively): "To update href for X and Y, ..."
Instead, it could be

  • "To update href for an X or Y element, ..." or
  • "The update href algorithm for X and Y elements is ..." (like the set the url algorithm that immediately follows it).
